Career shift from a high-profile technical support trainer whose task was to help recruits have a clear understanding of Networking and mentor them into solving related problems at the residential level, to a motivated software engineer aiming to develop innovative enterprise-level solutions.
What I Can Do
Automation
I am a power user, and I code most of my time in scripting languages that help automate tasks on a computer system. I have a preference for PowerShell Core which is cross-platform, but I have no trouble exiting the vim in the bash terminal. I use Linux as a Windows Subsystem. Brief, PowerShell Remoting, and SSH have no secrets to me.
Problem-Solving
I prefer problem-solving to coding because I mastered programming constructs and algorithms in a way that makes me capable of learning a new programming language in a few days. Nowadays, I code most of my time in Scripting Languages (Javascript, PHP, Python) because they are fast to test and syntactically attractive. I code in Java too.
Front-End Developer
I am an artist who does not know how to draw, and my knowledge of troubleshooting tools (Fiddler and DevTools) helps me reverse engineer websites to get inspiration. If a client wants its website to look better than a competitor's, I can easily do it. I know HTML5, CSS, and Javascript too well for somebody to try to keep its design away from my sight.
Back-End Developer
I know server administration, and my favorite is the IIS server. I can also manage an Apache WebServer system. I, at the moment, use open-source tools like MySQL to manage my Databases. I code App Servers in PHP and sometimes with NodeJS. WordPress Themes design is the reason I do more PHP than NodeJS.
